چکیده
Adrenal ganglioneuroma is a benign tumor of the sympathetic nervous system, composed gangliocytes and mature neural stroma. The asymptomatic in majority cases mostly accidentally detected diagnostic imaging due to health check. When large, it causes symptom such as abdominal pain or discomfort. We report case adrenal incidentally 25-year-old male patient. physical examination laboratory tests were normal ranges. However, magnetic resonance showed large heterogeneous right mass measuring 16.8 x 14.1 cm. Histological biopies confirmed an ganglioneuroma. A adrenalectomy by laparotomy was carried out. renal artery injured during dissection repaired with end-to-end anastomosis. During postoperative period, patient experienced pleural effusion requiring needle aspiration. No recurrence occurred 6-month follow-up.

A Case Report of Giant Adrenal Ganglioneuroma
Adrenal ganglioneuroma (AGN) is an extremely rare and benign entity comprising Schwann cells and ganglion cells. If the lesion approaches to 6 cm, laparoscopic resection is considered as relative contraindication. Now we present a giant adrenal AGN in a 25-year-old male patient. After abdominal computed tomography (CT) scanning, the patient underwent an exploratory laparotomy with right adrenal...
متن کاملBilateral Giant Adrenal Myelolipomas: a case report and literature review
Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare benign adrenal neoplasm presenting in 0.08%-0.4% of population based on autopsy series. It is of adrenal origin composed of mature adipose tissue and a variable amount of hematopoietic elements (myeloid and erythroid cells). Most patients are asymptomatic, and the lesion is discovered incidentally at autopsy or on imaging studies performed for other reasons. Most t...
متن کاملThoracolumbar paravertebral giant ganglioneuroma and scoliosis: a case report and literature review
Paravertebral ganglioneuroma and scoliosis is a rare clinical benign disease. The case we reported is about a 12-year-old girl who was hospitalized due to neoplasm with spinal deformity in the right abdomen for 1 month. Based on a careful preoperative evaluation and found no obvious surgery contraindications, the patient was treated with surgical resection of the tumor and correction of the def...
متن کاملGiant Ganglioneuroma of Thoracic Spine: A Case Report and Review of Literature
Ganglioneuroma (GN) is a rare benign tumor of neural crest origin usually found in the abdomen, but may occasionally present at uncommon sites including the cervical, lumbar, or sacral spine. However, GNs of thoracic spine are extremely rare. In this report, we describe a 12-year-old girl with giant GN in the thoracic spine, who underwent successful resection (T1-4 level) of the tumor. Histopat...
متن کاملGanglioneuroma of the bladder: Case report and literature review
Ganglioneuromas originate from neural crest sympathogonia of the autonomic nervous system. These tumors are benign, fully differentiated tumors that contain mature Schwann cells, ganglion cells, fibrous tissue and nerve fibers. Ganglioneuromas commonly localize in the abdominal and mediastinum regions, such as the adrenal gland, paraspinal retroperitoneum and posterior mediastinum. However, the...
